Happy Easter

This Easter was especially meaningful for me, maybe because I have kids, and it left me wanting to find new ways to make it a special time every year for our family. Not special as in more bunnies or eggs, but special by finding ways to worship God and rejoice that Christ is risen! I have a few ideas but I'm open to hear how your parents got you spiritually ready for Easter and what type of traditions you had surrounding the holiday.

Ok, so along the lines of bunnies and eggs, Auntie Steph did the great Easter Egg Hunt at her house yesterday and hosted us all to a great time with good food. Marin and Kaitlyn really liked finding the eggs and much to Marin's delight, her aunt and grandma let her eat all the chocolate in the eggs (see pictures below). So much chocolate, that she didn't go to sleep until 10 last night. She had been in her bed for an hour and still wasn't sleepy so we let her watch a movie with us (Dan In Real Life - yes it was good) and put her to bed afterward.
So here are the girls with baskets in hand awaiting the big hunt.

Did I mention chocolate?

Thanks Grammy for the Easter Cards. Marin really enjoyed Graham's card. She wants me to tell you that it was tasty!
