Christmas Is About Giving Right?

Ok, so we were at Costco tonight and we bought a present for Marin's cousin there. Marin really wanted the toy so I tried to seize the moment to explain that it was a gift and that Christmas is about giving to others because God gave us Jesus. However I realized that as I was proudly passing down these deep truths, Marin, who had not stopped saying, "It's Mine," had increased the volume and was now yelling, "IT'S MINE IT'S MINE" over and over again. So much for, "Yes mother, you're right, it is better to give than to receive."
