Yee Haw

You know how it goes...Christmas, Valentine's, Rodeo, Easter. Since it's practically a holiday here, we donned our bandannas and headed for the Houston Rodeo today. I've had lots of friends tell me how great it is for the kids, so I decided to set aside my crowd aversion and be fun! Unfortunately my camera stopped working not long after we arrived so I don't have nearly as many pictures as I wish, but here are a few. I played it up big time so the kids thought we were doing the greatest thing ever. And I have to say that it was pretty neat. There were all sorts of animals to see and touch and we even watched the cutting horses for awhile. The enormity of all that goes into our livestock show and rodeo baffles the mind. And it goes on for 3 weeks. It's pretty amazing. Riding the train-thing-a-ding from the parking lot to the event - possibly Graham's favorite part!

Pretending to plant seeds on the farm.

Marin has a thing for large animal costumes. I'm afraid she may have liked this cow better than the real ones.

Farewell rodeo until next year.
